Matt Malden — Chief Executive Officer and Founder

Prior to Yield Software, Matt spent nine years as an executive at Siebel Systems. As Vice President and General Manager, he grew the call center product division from inception to over a billion dollars in annual revenue. Next, he designed, launched and managed a joint development effort with Microsoft and IBM in building a next-generation, service-oriented software architecture. In addition, he led Siebel’s division focused on products for the public sector. Matt also previously held positions in software development at Oracle Corporation and in financial and strategic planning at Pacific Telesis Group. He holds numerous patents in the areas of user interface design, computer telephony integration, call scripting, and advanced queuing and routing algorithms. Matt earned his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Economics from The University of Michigan.  (Follow Matt on Twitter.)

John Coker — Chief Technology Officer and Founder

John is the chief technology officer and primary architect of Yield’s flagship product. John engineered, tested and launched the initial system from inception, and still leads our development effort. John was one of the initial software developers at Siebel Systems, the fastest growing software company in history. As a senior architect, he designed and developed key architectural components including multi-tier application models, high-volume data integration and migration interfaces, application development tools, call center integration technologies, and Siebel’s user interface layer. Later, John served as a principal architect and pioneer in developing a web services-based, service-oriented enterprise software architecture. John was also the first engineer and chief architect at Gain Technology, designing and developing multimedia content design systems. John’s principal areas of focus included platform abstraction and core infrastructure, an object-oriented database layer, the extension language, a content development and presentation framework, and SQL integration. Derek Gordon — Vice President, Marketing

Derek Gordon has led marketing and communications innovation inside start-up and established brands for more than 20 years. Derek is expert across all marketing disciplines including PR, the field of social, conversational and viral marketing, and strategic product marketing. Prior to joining Yield Software, Derek was VP of Marketing and Products / Interim CEO at Engage, which was acquired by Spark Networks; VP of Marketing at Technorati, a legendary Web 2.0 company focused on social media and blog search; and served in a variety of marketing leadership roles at Thomson Reuters, DigitalThink (acquired by Convergys), and the AIDS Foundation. Derek is adviser to a number of early-stage start-ups, and has consulted with leading brands including Cisco, Rackspace and Daylife. Matthew Baird — Vice President, Engineering

Matthew Baird is an engineering leader with more than a decade of experience in launching, building and operating successful software companies. In addition to his role as Vice President of Engineering at Yield Software, Matthew participates in evolving the engineering landscape through his work in standards development and open source software with the Apache Group. Before joining Yield Software, Matthew was VP of Technology at Chordiant Software, managing a globally-distributed team of engineers, product managers, and documentation specialists developing service-oriented architecture and predictive analytics products. Matthew was also the Founder and CTO of the performance-based compensation software company Motiva which was acquired by Siebel Systems in 2003. Matthew has held senior engineering and management positions at Oracle Corporation, PeopleSoft and Vantive. Matthew earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science and statistics from Queen’s University in Canada.
